EMG recordings can be done using the BNC2090A. There are 2 options:

  • The BNC connections on the left side of the 2090A - these are all analog connections.
  • Using a break-out bread board connected to the 68-pin connection. This would be a board like the one in the image I\'ve attached. I have not used one of these boards, but there are several types for a variety of connectors. The EMG needs to be connected to the available analog channels.

In terms of the physical set up, without seeing the EMG I can\'t say exactly how it should be connected. As long as the EMG is connected to analog inputs then the signals can be recorded. From the image you have provided, the bare wire connections (green and orange) are all for digital connections.
I have attached a sample Simulink model that shows how to read the EMG signals from the National Instruments card that the 2090A is attached to. The green block called \"Analog inputs\" can be copied and pasted into any model. The Analog inputs block is currently configured to read 8 signals of +-5v. These values can be changed by double clicking the block. There is some further information in section 10.3 of the Custom Task Programming Guide
